Hello to all CFers! First of all on behalf of the organising team, I would like to apologise over last tuesday's meeting. I am sorry if it caused some misunderstandings. The intention of the meeting was not to spread gossip or to discredit the authorities as we, being Chrsitians are called to honour and respect the position the government represents.
We are to recognize that God has placed them in authority over us as Malaysians. As long as we are not asked to violate a biblical commandment, we must recognize those in authority as God-given and that He is going to work through them on our behalf.
However, the meeting was meant to urge the Christians to start standing up as Christian Malaysians. Rather, the purpose of the meeting was to bring awareness on the issues that are actually taking place in our country and to urge us as Christians to know where we stand and for us to think of what actions we as Christians should take. For eg: to serve in the various Government Service and to do something for our nation rather than just taking the laid back attitude and migrate any given chance or working in private companies
Pray for those in authority over you.
Sorry if we have presented the message in such a way that it has given a wrong impression and message. To all you who spoke out, thanks we appreciate the feedbacks you guys gave. Thanks! Let us stand up and be MALAYSIANS! Do your part (speak up!) for the country as good stewards for the Lord. =)
"Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake; whether it be the king, as supreme, or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well (1 Peter 2:13,14).
